I always wanted a Tanuki statue but I could find any here in Brazil for a good price so I decided to draw one for myself.

Tanuki statues are considered to bring good luck financially and in life, besides being very cute.

They are always very chubby and have their very noticeable balls out (like the real animal which's sort of a mix of a raccoon and a dog), carrying a bottle of sake and a notebook.

I did a sketch of it just to see how it would look like and I liked to much that I did the rest of the drawing on the same day.

Now the original drawing lies over by bed, taking care of my bedroom and he got company because I finally got a small real statue too:
